Energy & Water
Audits
Energy & Water Audits aim to identify whether a building is wasting energy or water and to recommend cost-effective strategies for maximizing efficiency.
At BEM Energy Engineering, we apply standardized methodologies to identify energy and water conservation measures for our clients' buildings.
ANSI/ASHRAE/ACCA Standard 211-2018 outlines three levels of energy audits for commercial buildings, each varying in detail:
-
Level 1: A basic walkthrough audit that identifies energy conservation opportunities and serves as a starting point for deeper analysis.
-
Level 2: Expands on Level 1 by incorporating more detailed data collection and analysis.
-
Level 3: Provides a comprehensive evaluation, including advanced modeling and simulations, based on the findings of Level 2.
Some U.S. cities, including San Francisco, Berkeley, and San Jose, have enacted energy and water audit ordinances that require commercial and multifamily building owners to submit periodic audit reports.
If you need assistance with complying with city mandates or require an energy audit for your facility, we're here to help. For information on audit pricing, please contact us below.
